Cultural Identity Reflection
Who am I?
Who am I?
- I am a daughter, a sister, a teacher, a Christian, an aunt, a cousin, a coach, and a godparent.
- Both sides of my family are Norwegian and German.
- My parents enjoyed playing outside with their siblings and me and my siblings always did the same.
- My family goes to mass on Christmas Eve and then goes to my parent's house for supper. On Christmas morning, we would go over to my Grandma and Grandpa's house for breakfast, then spend the day at their house playing games and opening gifts. Now, we go to one of my aunt and uncle's house and continue to do this.
- My siblings and I went to the same school that my parents went to and that my grandparents went to. Some of my classmates were kids of some of my parents classmates.
- Everyone in my family that is married is married to someone of the opposite gender. No one has been divorced and everyone has started a family.
- Almost every Sunday, we have supper with my mom's side of the family. Now, when we don't do it with my mom's side, we have supper at my parent's house with all my siblings and their families.
